Looking at my website I was shocked to see how long it had been since I’d last posted and thought an update was in order! I have increased my hours at the college this year and while this has left me less time for updating things on here, being in such a creative environment has kept me inspired and I have been working on a new series of images which I will exhibiting over the summer (updates to follow!).
On a recent trip to London with the students we visited the Tate Briton to see the All Too Human exhibition, in which I saw several paintings that link to my current ideas. Themes that stand out to me from the following images are those of the body, flesh, repose and intimacy. It was a great selection of images, particularly seeing how responses to the human condition had changed over time and the scale of some of the pieces.
